like the coldest winter chill..
although it's from fall issue, here's another bunch of great winterish clothes..i'd wear every single piece from this editorial, even the mens stuff, and actually, i already assembled some similar pieces in my wardrobe to wear them this season..simple and yet extraordinary, great wearable combinations of both cheap and expensive. and on top of everything, the title of this editorial says 'follow your dreams, not someone else's'. gotta love i-d magazine.

knits..
to receive a sweater from santa happens to be such a cliche, but i really wouldn't mind seeing some of these stella mccartney or jil sander beauties under my tree..

wild at heart..
everything around me is so uninspiring and boring lately..everyone has become a sudden versace worshiper with the latest h&m madness. and in two months, it will all be forgotten. that's why i hate trends. and even more, the blind trend followers.
when i think about versace, i think about the nineties, about linda and the girls, about gianni himself, about fashion that was inspirational, covetable and eternal..and i wish that it stays that way.
so here's my ode to the good old times that happened not so long ago, but seem ages away..the legendary september 1991 us vogue editorial, shot by peter lindbergh and styled by grace coddington.

melancholia..
when you feel like the world is spinning too fast and its been hours already since you've left the cinema, you know the movie was something. beautifully brutal, leaving you with the feeling of waking up after having a bittersweet dream, lars von trier's 'melancholia' is a non-happy ending fairy tale..with the great charlotte gainsbourg, beautiful scenery, magical music and cast's stylings that were so perfectly picked.
but what's most important is the fact that the feeling i'm so familiar with, the feeling i cope with almost every day, got it's own movie. scary? yes, but beautiful at the same time.

dioralop/antarctica..
choosing a hardcore gig over a fashion show came as a pretty good idea for me last week..and although i don't have an excuse for not going to the other two nights of my small country's most desirable fashion event, it was the all new internet feature that did me a favor - live streaming directly from the catwalk. there's certainly a difference in watching your fav designers' new collections from the edge of the runway and lurking at home behind your laptop while cursing the lousy connection..but not being surrounded by a bunch of unimportant faces and names you don't even want to know, makes the decision quite obvious.
anyway, my favorites scored once again, andreja bistričić staying true to herself with a totally grungy collection, and jasmina arnautović stepping into mens apparel this time which pieces i'd gladly add to my wardrobe. since there's obviously no lack of inspiration and talent in this girls, i wish that their true fans like myself would soon be able to trade the wishful thinking for a piece of their creations..

ruby tuesday..
some kind of cheerful winterish feeling gets over me while looking at this pics..it probably means i'm finally finished with this years summer mourning (yes, i promise). anyway, haven't seen a lot of her lately, at least not something that would caught my attention..so this editorial comes as a quite nice inspirational surprise.

rearviewmirror..
so i wasn't at the premiere last week, shame on me, but it sure felt the same watching the pearl jam 20 movie last night..with a couple of highly emotional moments, it reminded me how much i owe to this band..and though it may sound like the usual crapy fan stuff, i really love ed, stone, jeff, mike and matt. and cameron crowe for directing this anthology piece. after doing my two all time favorite movies, i really had no doubts about this one.
