watching alfred hitchcock's 'the birds' the other night reminded me of this editorial from us vogue's march issue..amber valleta and her son shot by steven klein, great homage to the movie.

traffic island..
pretty sure that the idea of escaping everyday life, leaving human mashup and all of the necessities that modern technology provides behind, has at least once crossed everyones mind..in my case, it happens too often, and seeing this dazed&confused and diesel project doesn't help my state of mind at all. they've made an escape plan for the group of eight individuals, sent them on a field surrounded by abandoned motorways, and left them to survive 'on a diet of roasted marshmallows, extra curricular activities and free spirit'. at this moment, i cannot wish for anything more.

rapture..
admiring classics and enjoying good old wine is what i see as my essential pleasures someday i grow wiser, and wealthier, so buying chanel bags, balenciaga coats and van cleef & arples jewelry would make up my everyday rituals..although that wisdom might seem to be the right thing to pray for, there's something about young fashion designers that reminds me how being the rebellious young soul (and worshiping vivienne westwood) is the only dream i want to follow.
if you forgot about the talented young lady that i had introduced you to here, here's the lookbook for her current collection that features her supercool clothes and her sister's great photography..for more inspiration from andreja and her previous collections check out andrejabistricic.com..

english rose..
the pile of my garden/beach literature is getting bigger every day. this summer should last much longer for all i've prepared to read. anyway, love it when people go to london and think of me. although it would have been nice to get some vintage vivienne westwood souvenir from portobello road, i'm the girl of small pleasures, so the stones biography works quite fine for me this time. and the fact of having the august issues of my favorite magazines on the 10th of july is also pretty satisfying.
